National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS was launched in Mahatma Gandhi Centenary year 1969 and aimed at developing students' personality through community service. The overall objective of National Service is education. This objective is attained through the service to the community. National Service Scheme (NSS) is a permanent youth programme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

Eco clubs in colleges will empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote environmental behavior.

The main purpose of organizing the Youth Red Cross is: Informing youth members and others the roles and responsibilities of the Red Cross and encouraging them to contribute. An awareness of the care of their own health and that of others.
