Eco Club

Eco clubs in colleges will empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote environmental behavior. It will empower students to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum.

Objectives of Eco club:

  • check icon Motivate the students to keep their surroundings green and clean by undertaking plantation of trees.
  • check icon Promote ethos of conservation of water by optimizing the use of water.
  • check icon Motivate students to imbibe habits and life style for minimum waste generation, source separation of waste and disposing the waste to the nearest storage point.

 

  • check iconSensitize the students to minimize the use of plastic bags, not to throw them in public places as they choke drains and sewers, cause water logging and provide breeding ground for mosquitoes.
