Women Empowerment Cell - “GARIMA”

Swami Vivekananda said, “That country and that nation which doesn’t respect women will never become great now and nor will ever in future”. Women should be given their legitimate position in society as the equal of men and that they should be given good education and empowerment to freely fly in the society. From the above perspective, Women Empowerment cell of Seshadripuram Degree College is established with the Motto of “STRONG WOMEN, STRONG NATION”. Women empowerment cell is active in the college since 2019 to empower female students and faculty to enhance their understanding of issues related to Women, and the cell aims at creating awareness about their rights and duties. Our cell is also providing training and development programs for overall growth of Women.

Objectives

To make them aware about the gender equality.
To ensuring and training them in self-defense techniques.
Helping Girl students to secure self-respect, dignity and enabling them to solve their own problem.
To conduct seminars and special lectures to enhance knowledge of opportunities.
To encourage women entrepreneur aspirants and help them to achieve their goal.
