Gandhi Study Centre

Seshadripuram Degree College features four study centres among them Gandhi Study Centre concentrating on the impactful contributions of historical figures to society, especially for undergraduate students. Through guest lectures, workshops, talks, and competitions, the Centre instils the values and principles of these legends, fostering a holistic educational experience. The Centre promotes the vision and ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Believing strongly that Gandhi's philosophy has perennial relevance, the Centre attempts to promote awareness among the student community. This is done not only through interactive sessions with eminent Gandhian but also through student paper presentations, lectures, poster presentations and quiz competitions.

The vision of the center is to promote the ideas of Mahatma Gandhiji’s regarding the inclusive development of nation- building among the students, teachers and people at large.

MISSION

The mission of the center is to develop appropriate programmes and activities to exercise Mahatma Gandhiji’s ideas into practical propositions and policy instructions by supporting higher studies and extension services.

Objectives of the center

To make the students strong-willed and engage in activities that teach them to co-exist in harmony, and having dignity, respect for all religions.

To work in coherence with the national objectives and the development of the youth.

To analyze Gandhian thoughts from different perspectives.

Establishing the relevance of Gandhian thoughts to solve contemporary problems.
